Prepare Him Room - Week 4
Three Wise Men and a Star (Matthew 2:1-15)
This morning our kids heard the story of the star and the three wise men. There was no doubt in the minds of the wise men that they were traveling to see a king far greater than them. Bearing precious gifts, they came to worship the baby. Jesus is worthy of worship because He is God. Though Herod attempted to destroy him, God the Father would not allow it. Centuries earlier, the prophet Isaiah foretold that the Father would protect His son. He wrote, "The says God... 'I will take you by the hand and keep you'" (Isaiah 42:5a, 6b). Though Herod wanted to take Christ out of Christmas, God's planned prevailed despite his opposition. Nothing was going to stop God from his plan to save us.
